Young People in Chicago Watch and Discuss Spike Lee’s Chiraq

Spike Lee’s newest feature film, Chiraq, has caused lots of controversy in Chicago since the inception of the film years ago. Chiraq is a nickname created for Chicago that likens the cities gun violence rates to Iraq, a warzone to the Western world.  WGN 9, a network in Chicago held a screening and a dialogue with youth that live in Chicago from Donda’s House, an arts education program named after Kanye West’s late mom. Watch the young  people be experts of their experiences below.
